The Details
Who: Join Sivia Harding and Val Curtis
When: March 25, April 1, April 8, and April 15 at 5 PM PT via Zoom
Cost: $26 USD
Skill level: Understand how to do a basic stockinette stitch as well as joining and knitting a project in the round.
Required supplies:
- Pattern: MoMo pattern of your choice from "Cat's One Dozen Magical MoMo Cowls"
- Yarn: This depends on the pattern you choose.
- Needles: A MoMo requires a long (47-inch/120 cm is ideal) circular needle because it coils twice and the ends must meet. You will also need a finer "60" circular at the end to finish. Please note: Needles with cables that are shorter lengths connected together (such as in some interchangeable needle sets) are not suitable for the project.
- Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers
- Gauge: This depends on the pattern you choose.

During the first session, Sivia will walk us through how to do the moebius and then we will check in with each other every Monday. You may complete a full MoMo, 3 MoMos, or half a MoMo – it is entirely up to you!
Questions we get asked...
1) Can my needles be interchageables? If you have long cables that are 47-60″, yes. If you need to piece them together, it will not work for this pattern.
2) Will the sessions be recorded? Yes, and they will be available for 60 days.
3) Are we all working on the same pattern? No, Sivia will be teaching the MoMo framework, so you can choose whichever pattern you want!

Sivia Harding has worked with fiber and art since she can remember.
Obsessed since youth, by adulthood she had dabbled in weaving, spinning,
and dyeing among other activities, and came to knitting in the year 2000.
Almost immediately, she began to design. She is known for exceptional
designs including lace, garments, accessories, and imaginative Moebius
creations. She has been widely published in books, collections, and
magazines, including Jared Flood’s Wool People series, Spin Off, and on
Ravelry as Sivia Harding Knit Design.

Val Curtis, the Curator of Cat’s Creations, is a long-time friend of Cat’s who was entrusted with continuing the community. She embraces the journey, especially when it involves Silent Knitting. Val takes charge of Cat’s patterns, website, online presence, and exciting upcoming ventures!
Although relatively new to knitting, Val is eager to embark on her first moebius project. So, if this technique is unfamiliar to you, don’t worry, you’re not alone. She is learning alongside everyone else.
